Winterizing Your Home Series: Tip # 1

Winter is back! The following blog series will contain essential steps that all homeowners should perform to help you better prepare for the winter weather.

Tip Number 1:

Shut off the water leading to exterior pipes and ensure the pipes have been drained. The temperature will be dropping rapidly. If the water freezes in your pipes, your pipes have the potential to burst. This can lead to extensive damage to your home. In the event this happens, water can flow into your home causing serious damage. Water damage can be difficult and costly to clean up. In addition to this, replacing the broken pipe can be costly as well.
